Franklin County Humane Society Wants You to Know
the Many Ways to Spay - Today!
You can help STOP pet overpopulation and needless euthanasia the solution starts at home YOUR home. Please, No More Litters. See the many options available below for spaying or neutering your pet.
Your local veterinarian is always ready and waiting to assist you with spaying or neutering, providing microchip identification and all of the regular health care needs of your pet. However, if you need assistance with spaying or neutering, other options are available. These programs are possible only through the generosity and cooperation of our local veterinarians. Some of these programs have a limited number of spots or a limited time frame, and persons needing assistance with spaying or neutering are encouraged to sign up promptly.
1. Every day the Franklin County Humane Society Low Income Spay/Neuter Program - $35 coupons to spay or neuter a cat or a dog; coupons are sold at the FCHS shelter all year round to persons of low income buyers must bring proof of income of less than $25,000.

| 2. Everyday OpSPOT '909-VETS' referral program offers spaying and neutering for all income levels, all cats and dogs. Twenty veterinarians in the Metro St. Louis and Franklin County area have pledged to provide spay/neuter servoces at a very low cost. Surgeries are $30 and $40 for male and female cats, $50 and $60 for male and female dogs. Coupons are also sold at the FCHS shelter. Call (314) 909-VETS for participating vets or go to www.opspot.org

3. Special OpSPOT Ten Spot Fix Program special, limited time only program for neutering/spaying male and female cats and dogs for $10; in the spring and fall. No coupon is needed; call the vet directly for appointment. For participating vets, call (314) 995-8678 or visit www.opspot.org.
4. Special Operation Snip low cost spay/neuter program for cats during February ONLY at the Humane Society in St. Louis for $19.95. Surgeries are done at both the Westport and the Macklind locations. Call them at (314) 802-5700.
5. Free Furry Fix Program for persons with proof of low income or using government assistance. Vaccinations are also available at a reduced cost. Cats or dogs can be neutered for free if you qualify. Call (314) 435-1819.
6. Please donate to our Prevent Another Litter charitable fund designed to provide reluctant people who drop off animals an incentive to spay or neuter them. Pick up a card, call the 1-800 number on the front of the card, and then tell them you want to have your card number connected the Franklin County Humane Society in Union, Missouri. If you need it, our group ID number is 500022033. Then remove the white sticker and present your card to the checker BEFORE he or she rings up your groceries.
